This is the last week before Spring Break and Kyle had his "Kindergarten checkup" today with his doctor. He received the 4 vaccines, the last he needed before he could enter Kindergarten! His appointment was at 3:30pm and we just barely made it about 5 minutes before his appointment. We didn't get called in until about 10 minutes later. In addition to his 4 vaccines, he ended up trying to reach/grab for one of the needles and sliced the inside of his hand. Thankfully it wasn't a deep cut. The nurse put a band-aid on it and it stopped bleeding about 10 minutes later.
We now have all of his required paperwork to get officially registered for Kindergarten! I am so glad that is over.
After we arrived home, Kyle seemed tired and had a dazed look to his face. He somehow got a second wind and started acting like his normal self (running around, playing, etc).
He took a bath with no issues. He even went to bed tonight without any problems. Just as I was trying to fall asleep (just before 11pm), out of nowhere he threw up a few times! It was just out of the blue. Shannon automatically brought up that his vaccines may have caused this! I just hope it was that and NOT another round of a virus that will last 3 or more weeks! We're going to keep him home tomorrow from school because he may still be in pain or be fussy. Plus, school policy is that they have to be "throw up free for at least 24 hours."
We put everything he threw up on (his clothes, sheets, and the towels we used to clean him up) into the washer tonight. I don't care that it's late, they need to be cleaned and we can worry about drying them tomorrow!
As I was writing this post, Kyle threw up again about 45 minutes after the first time.
What is Crunchy? "Green;" environmentally-friendly. I love green cleaning and making my own laundry soap!
His First Visit To His New School
Kyle starts school in just a few days! He will be starting 6th grade at a brand new school, in a new school district.

Speech Therapy and Groceries
Kyle had his Speech Therapy Evaluation today! The Speech Therapist wanted to talk to us for about 15 minutes, just to ask us a few questions about Kyle. Then she took him for about an hour to play/work with him to get a feel for where she needs to start and build some goals. Since we had an hour to kill, we decided to leave property to go to Walmart. I ended up buying the non-groceries things we needed. I bought Kyle a new pair of shoes in size 10. He seems to be outgrowing the size 9's (but he can still fit them), and they are worn down. I also bought 3 tubes of toothpaste since the were on "rollback" for only $1.50 each! I picked out some new slippers that are really cute and a bath puff for some body wash that I have.
The therapist said he did really good and she's excited to set some goals to work with him! We set up his Occupational and Speech Therapy for next Tuesday at 10am and 11am.
We ended up going straight home after his therapy. Shannon wanted to take a nap. During that time, I had a chance to work on my computer since it had a virus. I kept running the only anti-virus program I was able to download and finally the virus is completely gone! I have no idea where the virus came from or how I got it, I am just glad it's gone and we didn't have to take it in to the shop!
We ended up going to the Walmart that is here in the city we live in. We bought our groceries as well as some other things. I bought some hand weights, that I plan on adding to my workouts. I am excited to use them since I am trying to work on my arm muscles more!

Kinda back to basics
This weekend is turning into slowest weekend, at least that is what I am guessing. My laptop decided to stop working a few days ago. We're not sure if it's the battery or the plug/cord.
Then this morning, the cable isn't working. My in-laws have D*rectTV and for some reason it's still searching for a signal. When Shannon and I had D*sh Network, our cable would go out when there was snow on the satellite dish. Anyway, the TVs have been out for the majority of the day.
Since I've been using my husband's computer, I somehow downloaded a dang virus. I have tried the anti-malware several times but it won't remove the viruses. It is so frustrating because I keep getting pop-ups about scanning my computer and asking me if I want to purchase the anti-virus program!
Shannon had his interview this past Wednesday, I asked him to send them a "thank you" email. Since he still hadn't sent it, I decided to! I found a few examples of thank you letters and used some of those to create my own. I had to send two emails because he interviewed with the owner of the company and the General Manager of the property. Let's hope they haven't hired for the position yet! I figure in this economy, he has to find a way to "stand out" from all the rest of the candidates! I did create two different thank you letters, just in case they compared notes! LOL
