Kyle woke up around 8:01 AM, which also happened to wake me up. I had to quickly wake Shannon up for his 8:30 AM appointment for the car. It took about 5 or 6 hours for the car to get fixed, thankfully Shannon got a ride home from his dad. I am anxious to hear how much more efficient our car will be, since it got a well needed tune up. We've had our car for 7 years, they said they are taking care of the 30,000 and 60,000 mile tune up!
He also has to pick up his dry cleaning and get a hair cut. Then he's stopping off at Walmart for a few things.
I woke up feeling a little sick. Shannon said he's also not feeling well. Kyle still isn't 100% himself, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit. I am not sure what we have, I just hope we get better soon!
Shannon's interview is tomorrow afternoon at 5 PM. The hotel is about 2 1/2 hours away, so he's leaving early just in case. While he is gone, I plan on cleaning the bathroom and making sure we have our paperwork ready for the bankruptcy attorney appointment on Friday.
What is Crunchy? "Green;" environmentally-friendly. I love green cleaning and making my own laundry soap!
His First Visit To His New School
Kyle starts school in just a few days! He will be starting 6th grade at a brand new school, in a new school district.

Long Tuesday
I woke up really early this morning, I was excited to visit the preschool and wanted to make sure we didn't sleep in! Plus, we don't have an alarm clock and Kyle wakes up at different times.
I woke Shannon up at 9 AM and he really didn't get out of bed until about 9:40 AM (he went to bed around 3:30 AM). He didn't want to see the preschool since Kyle has to be potty trained. I wanted to go because I wanted to see the place and the director of the school was really nice on the phone and invited us to come visit. I also wanted to ask her if Kyle could go into the 2 year old class, since he's not potty trained.
We arrived a little after 11 AM. The director showed us the classroom and we stayed in there to talk for about 35 minutes. During that time, Kyle got to play with the toys and run around the classroom. He had so much fun! He played with the trucks, found an Elmo toy, and even found 2 balls to throw in the air. When we went down the hall towards the bathrooms, Kyle ran in the other direction, almost the entire length of the hallway! He was so fast, Shannon had to chase after him. She also brought us in to see the 4 year old classroom. She gave us the registration form and the school calendar. We told her our main issue was that Kyle is not potty trained and he's not even ready to be. She said he could be put in with the 2 year old class, which was great news to hear! We just want him to be able to play with other kids and learn! Shannon and I were both glad to hear that the preschool is so flexible with the kids.
Afterwards, we took Kyle to the playground and walked around a bit. He wasn't really interested in playing, just wanted to look. Shannon asked me again how much the tuition was and he asked if that was the weekly price and I told him it was monthly! It's super affordable and cheaper than daycare! Shannon seemed really impressed with the preschool, which was a huge change from this morning. He seemed so against Kyle going to preschool. We may look at enrolling him at the end of June (classes start in September). We are having issues with his unemployment, so hopefully they will work out in our favor.
We got home around 12 noon and I made Kyle a quesadilla and I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Our appointment with the bankruptcy attorney wasn't until 1 PM. It's been raining off and on all day. The water in the creek got really high, so Shannon had to bring in an outdoor lounge chair.
The appointment with the attorney went okay. We need a few more documents and after our third appointment, we should know if we can file or not.

Memorial Day
We had a nice quiet weekend. It rained most of the day on Saturday and all day Sunday. It's also raining off and on today.
My MIL cleaned out her closet and she offered me any of the clothes she was planning on giving away. I now have some new business attire. I haven't tried any of them on yet, but they look like they would fit. They are older styles, but I don't mind, they are still nice and in great condition.
Tomorrow is our second consultation/appointment with the bankruptcy attorney. After that, we can decide to hire them or not. We had to fill out a big packet about our finances and what we own. We also have an appointment with a preschool tomorrow. They won't take Kyle in because he's not potty trained, but it can't hurt to see the place and how they run it.
Shannon is doing good with college. His first assignment was really easy, it was mainly about setting a career goal.

Kicked his butt into gear!
Last night I had to kick my husband's butt into gear...not literally! LOL
I have been asking my husband for the LAST 3 WEEKS to hook up our printer so we can print some documents that we need for our next appointment with the bankruptcy attorney! Our appointment is next Tuesday and I wanted our things printed out 3 weeks ago so I could have used that time to fill out the huge packet they gave us. I already knew he wasn't the one filling it out so I wanted plenty of time to do so. Since my husband is a HUGE procrastinator, he would have waited til next Monday night to finally get around to hooking up our printer.
Last night, I finally just told him straight out that our appointment is NEXT Tuesday! Of course, he had no idea it next week and suggested we re-schedule.
Anyway, today he tried hooking up the printer but it's broken. So we ended up using my in-law's printer. I will be spending the rest of the week filling out as much of the packet as I can and then have Shannon go through it and fill out anything I didn't.

Halfway there
I've been taking today a little easier than yesterday. I was doing some much needed cleaning yesterday and glad it's done for now.
My MIL called this morning and said that they are coming home Saturday night. They found a really nice place on the beach, their porch/window is on the beach, the tide is about 30 feet from them. It's an actual condo and they are paying a little over $100 a night, which is really good!
I feel accomplished, I found the last 4 years of our tax returns!!! We need them (eventually) to file for bankruptcy. If we didn't find them, we would have to request them from the IRS and they charge $57 for each year requested. I knew where 2007 and 2008 were, I just didn't have 2005 and 2006 on hand. Our next step is to print out our credit reports and fill out some forms! FUN!
I still want to enroll Kyle in preschool, but with the hysteria of hog flu, I don't know what kind of chaos is going on with schools. We are waiting until all of it passes or winds down.

Back to the Past
Shannon and I had the appointment with the bankruptcy attorney this afternoon. We were able to leave him with my in-laws. I don't think Kyle even noticed we were gone. They stayed outside most of the time, but did come in to have lunch. It was really weird to not have Kyle with us, we kept feeling like we were forgetting something. We stopped at the bank to make a deposit and the attorney's office was a few doors down.
On our way home, we stopped at the grocery store. I ended up signing up for their "club card" because they are part of the upromise network. We can earn money towards Kyle's college with each purchase, plus upromise allows me to add "e-coupons" to my club card.
Shannon had a phone appointment with the college this afternoon as well. The phone call took about 5 minutes, but then he has an orientation later this week. Shannon is thinking about what he needs to be prepared for college. He's going to buy some ink for our printer (finally!). Now I'll be able to print out coupons, when I want!

Shopping and Pizza
My mother-in-law and I went to the mall today. I got my haircut...finally! It's been about a year and a half since I've had my haircut. My hair was down to my elbows! I was so annoyed with my long hair and hated combing through it after a shower. Just glad to have it short again! The hairdresser used a flat iron to curl my hair, which I didn't know you could use (I always assumed you had to use a curling iron).
We shopped at JC Penney's, Sears, and Belk. I ended up buying 2 pairs of jeans that were on sale. I tried looking for tops, but they were all more than I wanted to spend. I have more of a Mervyn's, Target, Walmart, or Kmart type of budget.
On our way home, we decided to get pizza! It was so good. Kyle had a few pieces too.
Shannon finally received a call back from the unemployment office. They are going to send him another card. They claimed it was sent out on April 6th, which we never received. He already has 4 weeks worth of pay on the card.
The "really rude creditor" is still harassing us. He left another voicemail today, and he didn't identify himself! LOL I can't wait until we officially file for bankruptcy, then he will have to STOP calling. I wish I knew how to record his voicemail and put it on the internet. They are hilarious. He actually sounds like an abusive/obsessive type of person. He sounds like a guy who would be verbally abusive to his wife or girlfriend, just by the way his voicemail sounds. He is pretty much demanding that we call him back.
I am still waiting on our package from the Post Office. I checked the status of our package ad it somehow ended up in Charlotte! They called us 3 days ago to say they can't find it. I waited 2 days before contacting them again via the web and they called us today. I have to call them back tomorrow. In the meantime, I already re-ordered the same product from another website. I wish I had purchased it from the second website, they didn't charge an arm and a leg for shipping and they shipped my order within 24 hours! Plus, I was able to pay by Paypal.

Developments
A few nights ago, I found a local management job for a hotel, so I submitted Shannon's resume and cover letter yesterday. Shannon also checked online for his unemployment and it says he will be receiving it!
Yesterday I received a call from one of our creditors. To make a long story short, I ended up hanging up on him, he kept questioning me for more personal information and asking me why I haven't paid them. Anyway, I ended up hunging up on him and he ended up calling back at least 7 times. My husband ended up answering one of the times and the guy wouldn't identify himself. When he called back again, my MIL answered and the guy asked if she was MY MOTHER!!! WTF?! He called about 5 more times and finally left a message without leaving his name or business, pretty much trying to smack talk me. The dumbshit got my birthday wrong. If you are going to talk smack, at least get my info right. Shannon looked up the laws on creditors and harassment and he broke at least 3 of the 6 rules they are supposed to follow. We have 2 recordings of him NOT identifying himself and of this harassment. Also, there were 4 adults in the same room while he called us back those 7 times. Anyway, Shannon can't wait for him to call back because he's going to tell him about the laws that he broke and to stop calling us.
Shannon finally agreed to filing for bankruptcy! I really think this creditor harassing us made him realize that we need to. I've been wanting to file for some time now. I just want a fresh start. I emailed 2 local lawyers, and one of them already replied back!
UPDATE:
We have an appointment scheduled with the bankruptcy attorney in two weeks. I am looking forward to getting this process going.
