Changed his shoes

Awhile back, when it was time to buy Kyle new shoes, I ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes.  He only ended up wanting to wear one pair, the blue ones.  He wore them until they literally ripped at the soles!  Earlier this week, I brought out his other pair of shoes (white ones) and he reluctantly put them on and as soon as I walked away, he took them off and tried to put them back.  I ended up helping him put them back on his feet and I quickly changed the situation (this usually helps when he's about to have a tantrum).

Kyle does not like change.  He does not like new clothes either.  It is very difficult to bring in new clothes for him to wear.  He thrives on routine.  I would love to dress him up in cute boy clothes but I have to stick to his school clothes.

All this week, he's been having tantrums, morning and night.  It is very out of the ordinary for him.  We don't know what triggers it either.  There are times when he bangs his head against the wall.  The other morning, he was a happy boy and smiling with me.  The next minute he starts having a tantrum!  It has been frustrating.

Shannon has said he does NOT want to put Kyle on medication, even though I am open to the idea.  Then I thought about the possibility of trying an alternative herbal remedy that would be all natural and safe to use with no side effects.  I found a product for tantrums but it's almost $40.  If you buy 2, you get one free and that's about $70!

When Kyle got home from school, he was much better from the rest of this week.  He cried and got upset at the usual issues that triggers him but that quickly passed.   We're thinking he's used to his new shoes by now.  It usually takes him a few days to get used to something new.  After that, it's part of his routine.

9 Hours in the Express Lane

My 9 hour day went by slow, even though I was working in the express lane. It was busy, but there were slow times too. I am just glad it's over.

I bought a belt at work yesterday! I was getting tired of pulling up my pants every few minutes! It's a cute purple belt with little silver stars that sparkle.

Kyle has been having tantrums here and there for the last 3 days! His screening at the preschool went well. Thankfully he wasn't having a tantrum during the screening. From what Shannon said, the lady was really nice with Kyle, so I like that. They want to do more screenings and from there, they will decide where to place him in the preschool.

My jojoba oil arrived in the mail yesterday! I added it to my hair conditioner bottle, so I can use it every time I wash my hair. I used a little in my hair after my shower and with my body lotion. I also used it on my face! My hair and skin are soft! Jojoba oil is safe to use everyday, which I will probably be doing!

Slow Day

I had an 8 1/2 long day at work today. It was pretty slow, but then again, I was on the "general merchandise" side, which is the pharmacy side of the store. The "GM" side of the store is usually slow because most people are shopping for groceries and their eyes don't drift that far of the store when they are ready to check out. I am not looking forward to tomorrow because I have a 9 hour day!!!! UGH!

Kyle had an all day tantrum! We don't know why he cries and whines. I felt bad for Shannon since he had to deal with him all day. I asked Shannon if I should change my availability at work to where I request Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off. But he says we need the money, so as long as he doesn't mind me working so much, then I don't either.

My tea tree oil arrived today! I was so excited! I added a few drops to our shampoo. I also used some tea tree oil on my face (diluted with water). This weekend, I will be looking for more ways to use my oil! I am still waiting on my jojoba oil to get here! I can't wait to start using that as well!

I checked my email tonight and I just received a notification email that my lunch tote is on the way! I should receive it by Thursday! I can't wait to see it and start using it for work!

Exhausted and Frustrated

Shannon and I are exhausted and frustrated. Kyle went to bed around 9 PM or so, but then he woke up around 2 AM. We're not sure if it was because he was hot, we had to sleep with the window open because it was so hot. Anyway, he was fussy, frustrated, and having a tantrum. We finally turned on his cartoons on the Nick Jr. website. We had him watch Blue's Clues. I woke around 5:30 AM long enough to turn off the laptop and he was asleep! Kyle woke up around 9 AM and wanted to go right outside. I had him eat breakfast and then I had to get dressed super fast, just to take him outside.

Kyle's been tired all day today and having a tantrum for most of the day. So it's been even more frustrating for all of us. We are hoping he goes to bed early and stays asleep until morning.

The hospital

I received a letter from the hospital where I had our son 2 ½ years ago. At first I thought it was another bill, which I knew we paid off. It was official looking and it just had that “bill” look. So of course I had to open it right away to see what it was all about. Apparently my personal information may have been accessed by an unauthorized party. Because of this, I was able to sign up for 1 full year of service with a credit protection company. They send me alerts anytime my name and/or social security number is used. I am upset that my information was accessed and compromised but I am thankful that they gave me a year of free service. I signed up without a problem and took a look at my credit report. It’s not as bad as I thought. LOL

Shannon is doing good at work. We really like the place he works for and it seems to be a great company to stay with. Unfortunately there have been a few people who have tried to slander his name, but they are met with dead ends. He is well liked by the General Manager, Director of Human Resources, and the Assistant General Manager of Hotel. They already know his skills and what type of person and manager he is. So when these fools make a fool out of themselves, they are just digging their own graves. Plus, the idiot bitches who are trying to do this are not well liked. They think they know their shit, but they don’t. LOL One of them actually tried to complain to the General Manager about my husband and the Assistant General Manager!

Kyle is still having tantrums here and there. I figured out that his bedtime is between 9:30pm and 10pm, which doesn‘t give me a whole lot of time at night to relax. I don’t know how he can stay up for so long without a nap during the day! I must be one lucky mother - having a 2 ½ year old who doesn’t take a nap!

I started doing Tae Bo again last week. I am doing the “8 minute workout” video. The first few days was torture. I was so sore. My arms hurt so much that I could barely lift them over my head, let alone move them at all. My whole body was sore. I wanted a little break from pilates, so I am glad I found my Tae Bo video.

Update on Kyle’s Tantrums *knock on wood*

Now that it’s a new week, I realized that Kyle only had about 3 days of tantrums and that’s it! So far, he hasn’t had a tantrum in over a week!

We didn’t go to playgroup 2 weeks ago because he was sick with a fever. We didn’t go to playgroup last week because he was having tantrums and we weren’t sure when he was going to have one and also because I kind of forgot! LOL So this week, I really do want to take him this week. He definitely benefits by playing with other kids. Plus he loves playing with all of the toys.
