We went to the mall today. I have been wanting to get a certain blush that I have heard a lot about. There are celebrities that wear it and it's been the best seller since 2001! I knew it was sold at Sephora and we happen to have a Sephora inside of our local JC Penney's. I was able to see the blush in person and had to think about it before buying it. While doing that, I went over and found some panties. I had a hard time choosing the colors and sizes, but finally bought a few. I have decided to stop buying panties that come in a package from Walmart (I usually bought Hanes) because they would start to unravel after a few weeks of wearing them! It just didn't seem worth it to have underwear fall apart after a few weeks or have holes in them. I am hoping that panties from the department store will last longer than a few weeks!
I ended up getting the blush that I really wanted. I figured that I would regret not getting it, so I just took the plunge and bought it. I tried it on and love it! It works perfectly for my skin color!
After going to the mall, we went to Walmart to get groceries. Since we are no longer receiving food stamps, we tried not to buy as much.
I called the department of social services today regarding our food stamps and she said that we would need to reapply because we were supposed to get recertified in May, which is around the time we moved. Also, we have to reapply since we moved to a different county. I filled out the application today and sent it out in today's mail! Hopefully we can get back on food stamps by the end of this month and not have so long.
What is Crunchy? "Green;" environmentally-friendly. I love green cleaning and making my own laundry soap!

Coconut Oil and SSI Saga
My coconut oil arrived today! I didn't realize a 32 oz jar is so big! This should last me at least 6 months. This brand of coconut oil is to use in our foods mostly. We eat a lot of soups and pastas so I plan on substituting butter with the coconut oil. I am finishing up another brand of coconut oil, so once that one is gone, I can use this new brand for beauty too!
Today, we were informed that Kyle was approved for SSI! I am just glad that the wait is over!

Review another product
I am excited because I was chosen to review another product. I heard through a "freebie" group that I am in that a company is looking for bloggers to review their product. Rather than blogging, I told the company that I would review their product via my youtube account. I told them that I already use coconut oil for beauty uses, such as leave-in hair conditioner, hair conditioner, makeup remover, skin moisturizer, etc. I haven't really used coconut oil for cooking yet. They are sending me a 32 fl oz jar of their brand of coconut oil to review.
I still have several more products to review from another company. I plan on making my videos while Kyle is in school.

One Less Worry
We found out today that Shannon's unemployment was renewed! They even paid him back pay from the last few weeks while the unemployment had lapsed! I then suggested to Shannon that we get that phone reading from psychic, Nancy Bradley! My in-laws had a few readings from her as well as took some of her classes. So far, all of her predictions have come true for them. Shannon called to make the appointment and our appointment isn't until October 28th! That will give us plenty of time to come up with questions for her.
Since I made a few videos about the beauty products I use, the company has asked me to make how to/demo videos and video blog posts for them! They would send me products to use and then I would make videos and video blogs about them. They asked me what I am charging to do something like that and I am not sure what to charge!? They are also looking for other people to make videos for them, so I am on the lookout for other people to ask!
Kyle has occupational therapy and speech therapy tomorrow! We're going to have to change the day of the week we go to therapy due to Shannon's school assignments. He would prefer another day of the week that we go.
Kyle starts school next week! I did get him two pairs of shorts that he can wear to school. I think he'll need two more pairs of shorts and then I'll work getting more pants and shirts for him!

Spa recipes at home
I was browsing around the Sephora website and saw "brown sugar body polish" for $65 and thought that it was a ridiculous price to pay for something that you could make at home. Today, I also saw a local news story about "making your own spa products at home." You can also view the video below.
I decided to look up recipes on how to make "brown sugar body polish" at home. After finding several different recipes, it's pretty much the same ingredients as the sugar scrub recipe that I have. Since I don't have brown sugar on hand, I used white sugar and mixed it with olive oil, honey, and coconut oil. These type of homemade spa recipes are customizable and you can add whatever you prefer, which is what I like about them. I can't afford to go to a spa, but I can find these ingredients at the grocery store! The recipe was easy to put together and I used it after I showered and rinsed it off when I was done.
This evening, I made spaghetti! I haven't made spaghetti since 2005, right before the time we found out we were pregnant with Kyle. Anyway, I used one package of whole wheat store brand noodles, Prego spaghetti sauce, and added a can of corn! It was so easy and everyone loved it. Shannon ate at least half of it. Kyle loved it because he loves noodles. He looked like a vampire while he was eating, the sauce was all over his lips, cheeks, and chin. I wish I had bought more spaghetti noodles now. I did buy other types of noodles and have a little spaghetti sauce left, but I also bought alfredo sauce. I am not sure if Kyle will like the other noodles or just spaghetti noodles. I was going to offer some to my in-laws but wasn't sure if it would be up to their standards of "organic, all natural, Oprah-approved, Dr. Oz approved, upper class, etc." But I don't have to worry about that because there's only a tiny bit left that Kyle can eat tomorrow.

No Butts, No Cuts, No Coconuts!

I received my coconut oil today! This was from the order that I placed on Amazon and it cost me $0!!! I am still waiting on the second half of my order from Amazon. They are from different vendors, so they are sent from two different locations. I can't wait to get my new workout DVD!
Here is a list of uses for coconut oil. I love that this is all natural and has many uses for beauty! I can also use it in my cooking! I also love the NOW Brand, a lot of my natural products are made by them.

No School Again
There's hasn't been any new snow fall. It did rain here and there today. It's supposed to rain tomorrow as well. I don't think we'll be getting anymore snow until the weekend.
We just received a call that there is no school tomorrow! Surprise, surprise! I have a feeling there won't be school on Friday either. Either way, I am kind of glad because Kyle is still sick. He woke up this morning at around 2:45 AM, but that's only because he fell asleep at about 7:45 PM! He's been coughing and still have a running nose. He also felt "warmer than usual" to the touch, but I am not sure if it was a fever. I have him on cough medicine today.
Last night, I placed another order on Amazon and my order came to $0!!! I saved up enough gift cards to pay for the order. I ended up buying another workout video and coconut oil. I plan on using the coconut oil for my hair and skin. It's supposed to be really good for your scalp, softening your hair, and making it more healthy. I can also use coconut oil as body lotion and it's good for those with eczema! Another use for coconut oil is as deodorant, I am curious to see how that works. I bought a new workout video because I need a little change from my current workouts. Not that I don't like my current workouts, I just need a little change here and there.
I also found Winsor Pilates workout videos on youtube! They are entire workouts! So I plan on going back to Pilates here and there!

Frugally Fun
I am so proud of myself! I made my own sugar scrubs and homemade laundry soap! I decided to make my own sugar scrubs because I recently became infatuated with Bath and Body Works and browsing their website. Although it doesn't help that I am on their email list, so they are sending me specials and coupons now. I don't mind it, it's just so tempting
I love using different beauty products (even though I have way too much already). When I have time to pamper and treat myself, I am going to take advantage! I saw some sugar scrubs on the "bath and body" website and that got me thinking about making my own! I love searching online for beauty recipes to try and found many different versions. Thankfully I found a simple recipe that I made with things I already have.
After I made my sugar scrubs, I decided to finally make homemade laundry soap! I found this recipe not too long ago and it looked really simple to make. I liked this version since it uses DRY ingredients, without having to melt or mix it with water and store it in a bucket, etc. The hardest part was grating the soap, it took me so long to do since I did it by hand using a cheese grater! I decided to make it because my skin is experiencing an odd reaction and I am not sure if it's with our current laundry detergent, our bath soap, or just a reaction to the winter weather! I don't think it's our bath soap because I recently switched brands and I have used this brand in the past and never had a problem.
Regardless, I love going natural, going green, and saving money whenever I can! Overall, both recipes were really easy to make. Grating the soap was the only "un-fun" part of it.

9 Hours in the Express Lane
My 9 hour day went by slow, even though I was working in the express lane. It was busy, but there were slow times too. I am just glad it's over.
I bought a belt at work yesterday! I was getting tired of pulling up my pants every few minutes! It's a cute purple belt with little silver stars that sparkle.
Kyle has been having tantrums here and there for the last 3 days! His screening at the preschool went well. Thankfully he wasn't having a tantrum during the screening. From what Shannon said, the lady was really nice with Kyle, so I like that. They want to do more screenings and from there, they will decide where to place him in the preschool.
My jojoba oil arrived in the mail yesterday! I added it to my hair conditioner bottle, so I can use it every time I wash my hair. I used a little in my hair after my shower and with my body lotion. I also used it on my face! My hair and skin are soft! Jojoba oil is safe to use everyday, which I will probably be doing!

Can't Sleep
I woke up this morning around 3 AM and haven't been able to go back to sleep. I already treated myself to a green tea face mask! In addition to purchasing tea tree oil a few days ago, I also purchased some pure jojoba oil to use on my hair, nails, and skin! Jojoba oil has many uses and is beneficial for softer skin, shinier hair, and healthy nails. I can't wait to start using both products. I am turning to natural beauty products, rather than store bought things. I could spend a fortune buying many different products, instead, I am choosing to go natural and end up buying less.
I read about the following story last night about a girl who was kidnapped when she was 11! What is so crazy is that she and I are the same age! It's so sad to hear, but at least she can reunited with her mother after all of these years. Her story is so heartbreaking. I hope we can eventually hear her side of the story.
