His First Visit To His New School

Kyle starts school in just a few days!  He will be starting 6th grade at a brand new school, in a new school district.

Penske

We went with Penske to move. We used them last time when we moved out of my in-laws.

When you think of Penske, do you think of the big yellow truck?
Well, apparently Penske has WHITE trucks! Have you ever seen a WHITE Penske truck? Now I can say that I have!

Adjusting

We arrived around 7:30 PM, about 2 hours after leaving our place. We tried dropping off the cable box and modem and they were closed, even though customer service told me they were open til 11pm!!! We stopped at Dairy Queen and got a vanilla shake and we all shared that. We hit the evening traffic and that took up most of our time. When we reached our destination city, we stopped at CVS to buy diapers. I ended up buying the CVS brand of diapers. We've bought the generic brand in the past and they always failed. So I am watching his diaper really closely to make sure he doesn't leak. So far, so good!

Last night was very difficult because Kyle didn't understand that we are now staying/living with my in-laws again. He kept pulling us out of bed, as if to say, "Let's go back home in our own bed." Eventually he wore himself out and fell asleep. Now we need to get him back on to a routine.

My asthma was bothering me last night to where I had to use my inhayler twice! Luckily I have some medicine from last time we were here so I started taking them today. I also have some over the counter medicine for my allergy to the cat.

Our Last Day

Shannon and I have been packing up the last of our stuff since 11:30 AM or so. We're pretty much done with the kitchen, our bedroom, and bathroom. We have so much stuff! We hope to be out of here by 4 PM.

We had Subway for lunch! It was so good! It was really refreshing and filling. I haven't had "outside food" since November when we went to Chuck E. Cheese.

We still have to drop off our modem and cable box but I don't even know if we'll make it because they probably close at 5 PM. So we may have to drop it off on Monday.

Kyle's been looking through the boxes we are packing up and checking out what we're putting in there. He likes to take some of the stuff out of the boxes as well. We think he has a photographic memory because he likes his toys in certain places. If he has a book of his under the TV stand and Shannon moves it into his toy box, Kyle will take it out of his toy box and put it back under the TV stand.

Slow at work

It's been slow at work all this week. So I haven't been spending as much sitting there waiting for work. I've been focusing on us packing and moving. I just want to make sure everything is taken care of when we move out of here. Shannon takes care of the packing part, and I focus on the background things like paying bills, packing our clothes, forwarding mail, etc.

I am also still job hunting here and there. Shannon had his interview yesterday and they "will be in touch." They have an internal candidate applying for this position as well, but it sounds like the GM doesn't want to hire him for it. Of course, that doesn't mean he has the job, so I am still looking and sending out his resume and cover letter. Shannon said not to job hunt this weekend but it's become a habit for me. Just this morning, I sent his resume out for at least 10 jobs.

If we don't hear anything by Monday, we'll start re-applying for food stamps, and apply for WIC. We still have to file our taxes so I want to get that done as soon as we can. I don't expect to get a refund this year anyway, since it usually goes straight to Shannon's student loan.

Interview Today!

Shannon has his job interview today! I don't expect him home until after 8 PM or even 9 PM. He left around 12:15 PM.

Our washer and dryer was also picked up around noon. So I am glad that is taken care of.

We have a last minute packing to do tonight and tomorrow. We need to get the kitchen all packed up. We're going to my in-laws tomorrow.

One More Day

Well, we have the washer and dryer for one more night/day. There was a mix up and the driver went directly to the rental office instead of our apartment. I blame the call center guy that I talked to, he even asked me if I would be home and I told him YES and to have the guys come to the apartment (not go to the rental office). Anyway, the driver called my in-laws (because that's the number they had) and said they were right around the corner. We waited 3 hours before I finally called the customer service number and asked what happened.

We're going to pack up the kitchen and pack up our clothes today. We need to get that all done so we're ready to get out of here! We're going up to my in-laws on Friday and then Shannon and his dad will be moving our stuff out on Saturday. I am not looking forward to staying there ONLY because they have a cat. I don't dislike that cat, I am just allergic. But I do have some over the counter medicine to take. I am hoping my asthma doesn't flare up again.

Shannon has his interview in Asheville/Fletcher, NC tomorrow, which is about 2 1/2 hours away. Kyle will be keeping me company, which we are used to.

I've been watching The Bachelor this season (like I do every year) and apparently there's a HUGE twist ending! I already looked it up on what happens and what people are speculating. So, it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Our Last Week

This is our last week here in our apartment. We did a little more packing last night. We still have to pack our clothes and the kitchen. Our washer and dryer will be picked up tomorrow. I did all of our laundry today.

Shannon has an interview on Thursday for a position in Asheville, NC. He is interviewing with the same guy he interviewed with in SC. We're not sure of the job title or the pay, so we'll find out on Thursday. This job is about 3 hours from where we are living now, but once we move, it will be about an hour or two away. His interview is at 4 PM.

We hope he gets hired, and hopefully they'll want him to start by next week. That would be great for us! Once he gets a paycheck or two, we can start looking at moving out of my in-laws house!

We have to be out of here by Saturday and I am not even sure we'll make it. We have so much to pack!

Playing Princess

I felt like a fairy pricess last night. I decided to play with my new makeup and experiment with the colors. I ended up applying on the eye shadow in the 2 purple shades that I received. It was pretty fun. I still have the chocolate color to try.

Not only that, the eye shadows are glittery so that's why I felt like a fairy! LOL It was really fun to try both colors and see how they turned out, and they went well! I am happy with the lavender color that I plan on using for eye liner, it is light but I think it will work. Otherwise I can also use it as eye shadow.

More Packing

We still have to pack up the kitchen and the rest of our clothes. Kyle's clothes are pretty much packed. We have to pack up the toys we are keeping.

This week, we have to separate what clothes we are packing away in boxes and what clothes we are keeping with us to use. Fun!

Our washer and dryer is scheduled to be picked up this coming Wednesday. We are aiming to be out of here by Thursday. We're going to drop off the cable box and internet modem on the way to my in-laws, since it's on the way.

Shannon said he will email and also call the guy and see if he's still looking to hire an Assistant GM or another Manager position.

Mineral Makeup

I ordered little sample sizes of mineral makeup. These little jars of mineral makeup lasts me a few months so it really saves me money because mineral makeup is so concentrated. I finally got my order, it actually came yesterday but we only have one set of keys (lame, I know!), so I had to wait until today to pick it up.

I ordered a lavender-type color versatile powder to use as an eye liner. These powders can be used as eye shadow, on your nails, lips, blush, etc. The color is much lighter than I thought, so I will have to play with the color a bit and see what works on me. She also included samples of versatile powder in Grape Soda and eye shadow in Chocolate. I haven't had a chance to use either color yet.

Interview within an Interview

Shannon just got home from his interview in South Carolina about a half hour ago. As soon as I said hi to Shannon when he came through the door, Kyle got up and ran over to his daddy. He really missed him. Kyle is still running around and climbing on things, he's all excited his daddy is home. It's cute.

I asked him how it went and he wouldn't tell me until he was undressed and changed into his sweats. He kept me in suspense! I kept asking him if it was good or bad and he wouldn't say either way. He was smiling so I wasn't sure what happened.

Anyway, he said his interviews were short, he was out of there by 5 PM (his interview was at 4:15 PM). He was interviewing with the current Assistant General Manager (the job Shannon was applying for). About 5 minutes into the interview, the AGM, started telling him the TRUTH about the property. He told him that the GM is very difficult to work for and she seems to want to hire a woman. Anyway, this AGM is moving on to a GM position in Asheville, NC! To make a long story short, the AGM started interviewing Shannon and asking him if he could work for him in NC when he starts up here. He starts his GM position on Monday, and he asked how soon Shannon could start. They ended up exchanging email addresses and he even gave Shannon his cell phone number.

So, if this works out, he wants Shannon to start within 2 weeks! Let's hope he does call Shannon for an interview and hire him!

Two Calls!

Shannon got 2 calls today! The first one went to voicemail because he was still asleep. He did call back and left a message on her voicemail. It was for a Manager position in Illinois.

Then later in the afternoon, he received another call from a place in South Carolina for an Assistant General Manager position. He has an interview tomorrow at 4:15 PM. It's a little under 2 hours away, and yes, they want to do an in person interview.

Our power went out for about 2 hours! It was pretty boring without power. Thankfully it was still daylight and it wasn't extremely cold, so we didn't sit in the dark and freeze to death. I started getting tired and ended up taking a short power nap! Kyle didn't seem to notice or mind, as long as he was with us. He was happy! =o)

Back to the Beginning

I checked Shannon's email and the lady wrote saying they are hiring someone else. UGH! She was so confusing. Why would she tell someone to "plan to move to Oklahoma"?!?! After seeing that email, I sent out Shannon's resume to a bunch more places. Hopefully we'll get a call!

We are still packing and getting things together. I went through my closet again yesterday and decided to throw more of my clothes away. I threw clothes away that I don't wear anymore or don't quite fit my body anymore. Who knew having a baby would change your body? =o)

Once we get settled and all moved in with my in-laws, we plan on re-applying for Food Stamps and Medicaid for Kyle. We also plan on going for WIC! Shannon will be applying for unemployment. I also have to get our taxes filed, so I want to wait until we are all moved in.

This is depressing news, but I will keep on working on my work at home job. I will try to put in more time. Once we move, I hope to train on other platforms as well. I did get paid from last month! That made me happy to see that posted to our account!

All about Clothes

I was so proud of myself the other day, I went through my closet and drawers and got rid of a big pile of my clothes.

I made the necessary calls to have our utilities and cable/internet/phone turned off at the end of the month. I also called to have our washer and dryer picked up. Those 3 calls took about 5 minutes!

Today, I went through the bags of clothes in Kyle's closet and found more of my clothes. Some of my clothes in those bags were in good condition so I am keeping a little pile. I am trying so hard to get rid of my clothes and keep finding clothes that I want to keep. LOL I did throw away a lot of clothes hangers!

Kyle only has a small amount of clothes that we are keeping. The other bags of clothes are going to be donated. His room won't be hard to pack up! He has toys and clothes and I am taking care of the clothes part.

It sounds like Shannon will be keeping all of his clothes since he doesn't have much.

Shannon was going to rent a cargo van (from U-haul) to use to transport the pile of trash and clothes and old boxes. But now he's thinking of just using the car to take it back and forth to the dumpsters. We have a ton to throw away.

Shannon emailed the lady he had the interview with. Hopefully she gets back with us!

The last few days

There hasn't been much happening here. Shannon and I are both doing much better but we both still have a cough. Kyle now has a cough, but otherwise is doing fine.

I started having a little problems breathing last night from my asthma, but that's because we're packing and moving stuff around. Shannon had his interview last Wednesday. The lady said she would try to get back to him by the end of the week and she never did. So he's going to call her on Monday. I put off calling the utilities company, cable company and other places to have our stuff shut off because I wasn't sure if she was going to call or not. We have call waiting but it doesn't go to a voicemail. It's confusing, but we have a regular answering machine. And yes, we only use a landline phone. I just hope he can get ahold of her on Monday! She seems so flakey!

I went through my clothes and decided to get rid of as many as I can. I have a tendency to hold on to my clothes for years. I still have to go through my dresser drawers! We still have to tackle Kyle's room and get rid of his old clothes.

My mother-in-law called yesterday and said that someone called asking for Shannon and wanted to interview him for a manager position. He said his brother emailed Shannon's resume for a position he must have applied for, but it was from a few years ago. Anyway, Shannon called him and he's looking for a General Manager for a small hotel he owns. After hearing what he's looking for and the pay they are offering, we figure it will be a backup plan.

Shannon went to Walmart and bought some groceries, we were low on food. I also had him buy bananas for Kyle. Kyle loves bananas and he hasn't eaten any fruit in a few weeks. When I asked Kyle if he wanted a banana, he stopped, looked at what I had in my hands and went to put what he had in his hands down and ran over to me. So I am glad he remembers bananas! I wanted to make brownies but instead he bought me some brownies from the bakery, so that works! LOL At least I can't burn them! I've been craving chocolate and we don't buy as many extras and goodies, such as soda anymore. I need something sweet in the house.

Sad News About Neighbor

Let me start from the beginning.

Earlier in the afternoon, I noticed that one of our neighbors (they live across from us on the 2nd floor) packing up their minivan. It looked like they were either moving out or going on a really long trip. But I figured they were moving because there were lots of boxes and what looked like a mini fridge.

Then later this evening, I noticed the wife and 2 daughters come home with fast food. There's a husband, wife, and 2 teenage girls in this family. I have noticed over the last few weeks that the wife goes to work much less, and I think she works at a restaurant. So I figure her hours have been cut down (because of the economy).

Tonight, Shannon came in from one of his smoke breaks and he said that our neighbor above us just said her husband moved out. Of course, I was shocked and asked him which neighbor. There was so confusion because I thought it was a different family and our descriptions were being misunderstood. Come to find out, we saw the husband moving out his stuff earlier today! Anyway, the wife saw Shannon out there and she just started talking to him (she doesn't know us and we don't know them). She said that she knew today was not going to be a good day and that her husband just left her and her daughters. She's been married 17 years to this man.

Now that I think back to them packing up their minivan, it was just the husband and a friend of his packing. So I wonder if he was packing up while the wife was away. So he would basically ambush her with the news of him leaving.

I was and still am in total shock. We don't know this family, although we have seen them in passing. I am really sad to see a family break up like this. I wonder if it's because of the economy or if he met someone else... I have no idea. I am truly feel bad for this family.

And here's the kicker to this whole story, if it can't get any worse... Today is his daughter's BIRTHDAY!

Third Times a Charm

For the last week or so, I've been sending out Shannon's resume. He received a call back from an employer about 10 minutes after I applied for the job. The job is in Oklahoma City, OK. She set up a phone interview for this past Monday at noon. Well, Monday at noon came and went. Shannon called her at 1 PM, the person that answered said she was in a "meeting and she would call on Tuesday at noon." Tuesday at noon came and went. Then I read that there was a tornado, down power lines, etc. in Oklahoma City. So we figured she couldn't call.

Yesterday morning I checked Shannon's email and he received a response from the Director of that area asking if he is willing to relocate to Oklahoma City. I replied back saying "yes... etc" So he replied back saying he would have an "area manager" call. This same woman calls at around 1:30 PM very apologetic. Everytime she went to call, it got busy, plus she's down 2 managers, so she's helping to cover 2 hotel properties. She asked if she could set up another phone interview for 4 PM. She actually called, but it wasn't until 4:15 PM. The interview was about a half hour long. She ended the call by saying, "plan on moving to Oklahoma City."

She wants to set up a phone interview/conference with Shannon, her and her director. She wants to get Shannon hired right away and have him start right away. In the meantime, Kyle and I will stay my in-laws for a few weeks until Shannon gets a paycheck or two.

Getting Better

I was still feeling sick yesterday. I kept getting the feeling that I wanted to sneeze, but then it would go away. I felt like I had allergies but its just that I am sick. My eyes would water and feel puffy. I think I needed to be in bed, but I have too much on my mind. Shannon still has a cough, but I think he's feeling better.

I tried working yesterday but I couldn't concentrate at all. I ended up going to bed around 9pm. LOL I hate being so tired!

I've been sending out Shannn's resume anywhere and everywhere through 2 job sites. I've applied for at least 50 or so in the last few days.

I am feeling better today, still have a running nose and watery eyes, but I can focus better. I am trying to work as much as I can.

Yoga for a bit

Today was a nice mellow day, aside from Kyle's constant whining. I am not sure if it's his 3 year old tantrums or he's tired and really needed a nap. He normally doesn't take a nap, but he did when he was sick.

I am feeling a little better today and seem to have a little more energy. I am going to try to work tonight after Kyle goes to bed. I've been slacking the last few days since being sick. I just didn't have the energy or motivation to work.

I ended up doing yoga last night and another yoga workout this morning! I hate going too many days without working out and I felt the need to workout last night. I am doing yoga because pilates can get a little mundane and I needed a change. Anyway, both workouts were a great change of pace and nice to try out. They weren't the type of workout to hold a pose and breathe 82 times and then switch poses and breathe 82 more times. I hate slow paced workouts because I get bored.

I just happened to check my backoffice for my job and they already have the amount of my earnings for last month posted. I should be getting paid around the 21st of this month! It's a nice chunk of extra cash!

Little Guy is Better

Kyle is 100% better today! He ate half a packet of oatmeal and a little bowl of cereal with milk. He's avoiding his cheerios, they were the last food he ate before he threw up a few days ago.

He's back to being his active self, running around and wanting to play. I took him for a walk today to get the mail.

Shannon and I are still feeling sick, but I am feeling a little better than before.

Still Sick

Yesterday we tried to feed Kyle some chicken soup and offer him water or juice. He doesn't have an appetite and he isn't drinking much either.

We gave Kyle another dose of medicine last night around 8:30 PM and shortly after, he fell asleep. I took him to bed, and I ended up going to bed too. I woke up around 2:45 AM and Kyle was HOT to the touch. So we gave him another dose of medicine.

This morning, his temperature feels normal. He's been pretty mellow today. He ate a few bites of oatmeal and had a few sips of juice, but that's about it. At least he's walking around today and more alert.

My throat is still hurting and last night I noticed it is changing my voice. I am drinking water like crazy. I also have headaches so I've been taking advil.

We wanted to avoid going to the ER. Shannon found some ideas (from other parents) on the internet of what to try if needed.

My son is sick!

We all woke up around 6:15 AM. Shannon said that he wasn't able to sleep that well because he kept hearing Kyle. Normally when Shannon gets up to use the restroom, Kyle jumps up and runs after him. This morning was completely different. We noticed that Kyle was looking a little cloudy and just dazing! We gave him some tylenol. He's been really quiet and not as active.

Shannon stayed up for a few hours and then went back to bed and Kyle soon followed and fell asleep as well.

This afternoon, Kyle threw up 3 different times. He's on the couch falling asleep here and there and Shannon is keeping him company. Shannon took his temperature and it came out to 101.6 and that was from under his arm. It sounds like he may have a stomach flu. We don't know what he's feeling, we have to go by his actions.

As for me, my throat still hurts. Nothing more, nothing less. But this is how Shannon's cold/flu started!

Update as of 1 PM ~ I just went to kiss him on the cheek and he is really burning up! Poor guy! All he has on is his diaper. We're thinking about taking him to a doctor.

Update as of 4:05 PM ~ Shannon went to the store about an hour ago and he bought more children's medicine for Kyle. We were using a cold compress to keep him cool. He's still warm and he's been sleeping here and there. I even took a nap with Kyle while Shannon was gone.

I got it now!

I noticed this evening that I had a tickle in my throat. It eventually started irritating me and now everytime I swallow, it feels worse. Plus I've had those moments where I felt the need to sneeze but never could. I don't know if it's from allergies or possibly being sick!

Shannon is still sick. I am not sure about how Kyle is doing. So far, he's still his energetic little self. LOL Tonight he's been coughing and it sounds like he's have trouble swallowing (like it's his throat). We're both listening to his breathing and sleep.

I am hoping that Shannon is better by Monday! He has a phone interview scheduled. Since he is sick, he's been a little out of it and can't really concentrate too much for too long. You know the feeling when you are sick...

A Little Detour

Last night, I applied for at least 30 to 40 different jobs all over the U.S. for Shannon. LOL I also sent out his resume to several more this afternoon. I updated his resume and created a simple cover letter to start using on another job site. About 10 minutes after I applied for a job through the site (sending Shannon's resume and cover letter), we got a phone call! This lady called THAT soon! LOL We were both amazed.

The job is in another state, but the pay is great and there are bonuses! Shannon talked to her for about 15 to 20 minutes and he has an interview on Monday. We're hoping she is eager to hire immediately, that would be even better for us.

The job is exactly the type of job Shanon wants. He would be in charge of the property! So we are both very excited and hopeful!

Our Sunday

I ended up waking up at 4:30 AM! Shannon got up around 11 AM and he said he was feeling sick! So I had him drink some orange juice. When he or myself get sick, we GET SICK pretty bad. We rarely get sick and when we do, it really hits us. The last time we were sick was in 2006 when Kyle was about 8 months old. He was sick for about 2 weeks and then I got sick in the middle of those 2 weeks and mine lasted 2 weeks and then Shannon got it for 2 weeks at least.

By the time 12:30 PM rolled around, I realized that it was EARLY. I was getting sleepy. Shannon was in the middle of his phone interview so I went to lay down and try to take a nap. Kyle followed and he eventually fell asleep too. I had a good 20 minute nap. Shannon's interview was about an hour and a half long. We talked about his interview and how it went for a good hour or so while Kyle slept. They still haven't called back today to let us know, so we're just waiting.

I ended up doing my training for a second platform (for work). I will have to focus on it more tomorrow because I am still exhausted. It is all very different and new and will take some getting used to.

Another Phone Interview

Shannon has another phone interview today at 12 noon our time. He asked me to wake him up at 10 AM. He needs a few hours to "wake up" and he needs his coffee before he can function! LOL

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Phone Interview

Shannon had his interview tonight. It went really well. From what the HR lady said, their economy and business is doing well and they have steady business! The position is for the same job title Shannon had before but with a higher pay range. Relocation is also included, which was important for us. They are going to set up another phone interview with the department manager tomorrow. It sounds like they need someone quick! They have interviewed other candidates but none of them stood out and impressed them.

We are excited about this opportunity! This time around, we aren't worried about Kyle in the car. He loves car rides, plus he's older this time around.

This job is about a 12 hour drive away. I am just glad that relocation is taken care of. All we woud have to do is pack everything in boxes. I wouldn't mind staying in a hotel room for a few weeks until we found a place to live.

So I did Yoga yesterday

Have you ever tried a new activity, sport, or exercise, and the next day you feel sore? Can you remember the last time this happened to you?

Yesterday I was tired of pilates so I decided to do yoga instead! I am not a fan of yoga because it seems to be too slow paced for me and a whole lot of breathing. I get dizzy and lightheaded from all the breathing. LOL Anyway, I did some yoga and it felt really good and different, which I needed. It helps to change up my workouts here and there. Today my legs are really feeling it!

Days off, Job Interview, and More

I joined facebook a few days ago. I am still getting used to it's features and where to find everything. Still not sure what it all means. But it's very fun and active. I can comment on my friends status, and have live chats with friends.

I ended up staying up until Shannon got home last night. This week, I haven't been sleeping very much or all that well, perhaps from stress and worries. Shannon also messed up my week! LOL Last week he said he had Wednesday and Thursday off, and it turns out he has Tuesday and Wednesday off instead! ARGH! At least I have my training for work on Wednesday! I don't want to schedule anything when I am home alone with my son, there are no guarantees that he won't need me for something. With that, I plan according to my husband's ever-changing schedule.

Anyway, something good may come to us! I have a feeling that it could be fate and perfect timing. Shannon and I have been looking for other jobs for him for the last few months. A few weeks ago, Shannon's Human Resources manager sent his resume to a "sister property" that was hiring for a manager position. That HR manager called Shannon asking if he was interested, etc. Shannon never called her back because it was for an "assistant" position and this property was in another state. So, a few weeks went by and Shannon gets an email from his HR manager, it was an email from the other HR manager asking if he was still interested! As Shannon is telling me this, I asked him why is he reconisidering this position. He said that he thinks it's odd that she's still looking to hire for this position after a few weeks went by. So he emailed her back last night. Of course, I am excited about all of this. But we also have to consider if they will pay for relocation. If not, we won't even move. The position listed on the website is for an "assistant manager" so we're not sure what that means. Shannon will have to clarify that with the HR lady. Hopefully he can set up a phone interview with her! This position is in Arkansas in a little city, he said it was a "blip" on the map. Shannon looked it up on google earth and he said it's near a big lake.

After he told me all this, I couldn't sleep so I stayed up til about 1:30 AM. LOL I ended up finishing up watching The Bachelor and Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Catching Up

The lack of sleep is catching up with me. I am ready to go to sleep and not wake up until tomorrow! But I can't, I have a 3 year old. LOL

It's been busy all day at work. I am going to train on a second platform on Wednesday. I chose either Wednesday or Thursday since that is Shannon's days off. I need to make sure Kyle won't interupt me while training. Once I finish that, I will be able to work 2 platforms at once. Hopefully make more money!

I am still looking for other texting jobs. I saw another company is hiring operators, so I sent an email out. I heard it's a really good company to work for, BUT it's really hard to get in. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Shannon is planning on getting the car fixed on one of his days off, which one, I couldn't tell you. Knowing him, he'll wait til Thursday night. Another inconvenience is that we have a car care center not too far from our house, he could easily WALK home, but there are NO SIDEWALKS and NO PEDESTRIAN stop lights! So he's thinking of walking over to Walmart which is on the same side of this place and not too far away.

Sleepy Giggles

I wasn't able to sleep that well, I ended up waking up when Shannon got home. I got up to talk with him for a bit and after that, I tried going back to sleep but wasn't able to. I ended up staying up for a few more hours.

When we both went to bed around 3:30am, Kyle suddenly started giggling in his sleep! It made us both laugh. He must have been dreaming!

I couldn't sleep because I am just stressed over everything. I wrote down our earnings versus what we are spending. This has also encouraged me even more to work more! I also asked Shannon if we should look at moving into a 2 bedroom apartment (instead of our 3 bedroom that we have). He said he was thinking about that too. I just checked around and found a community that I like. They even have some "paid utilities with rent." Unlike our current community, this place pays for water and sewer! So I sent them a request for more info on their current prices and availability!
