Kyle starts school in just a few days!  He will be starting 6th grade at a brand new school, in a new school district.

Who framed...the family?

We have framed family pictures!  I am so glad to have pictures of us!  Now I just have to wait for Shannon to put them up on our wall.  Unfortunately, that will take him about 87 days weeks days to finally get to.

All of the pictures above were free through various Walgreens promotions.  The one in the middle is from our most recent visit to Disney World (Feb/Mar 2012) and I had that one made today.  The two on either side were from our first trip to Disney World in December 2010.

Since I had 3 pictures, I decided to finally buy frames for them!  I can't wait to see them on the wall!  I want to put them in our bedroom so I will see them when I go to bed and when I wake up.

He's Ready, We're Ready

Kyle has school tomorrow!  He seems to be ready to go back and we're even more ready for him to return to school.  There are only about 2 1/2 weeks left.  His teacher said they have his school pictures, so I am excited to get them!  I wasn't sure which package to buy, so I ended up buying the "most popular" one.  I am only keeping one or two pictures and the rest are going to family!

In the last few days, Kyle is "talking" more.  I was holding a diaper yesterday and he said the word (in his own way) and then started signing the word diaper!  Then I asked him. "what is this" (holding the diaper up) and he signed it again.  He's also saying "dad" more as well.  In other words, he's trying to be more interactive with us

Back to School

Kyle went back to school today!  He was out of school for over a week!  It was nice to have him at school!  I am a little disappointed that they didn't save an Easter basket or easter eggs for him.  We had sent him to school with a big bag of easter eggs and 3 bags of candy for the kids and he received none of it!

A few weeks ago, they took pictures at school and they sent an envelope home with a sample picture of how they turned out.  He looks so cute in his picture!  Now we just have to decide which package to buy!  I don't know how they got him to sit still long enough to take his picture!  LOL

I received half of my order from Walmart today.  I ordered some colorful short sleeved tops, which I need for summer.  The only short sleeved tops I have are all blue, and they were from when I was working at Walmart!  I am waiting for the other half of my order, which should arrive tomorrow.

Shannon is getting ready to take the LSAT test.  He's aiming to take it in June.  He ordered some study materials and some of them arrived today.

I am still waiting for the plant I won on ebay to arrive, it looks like it will arrive tomorrow.  I am ready to pot up my new plant in a permanent home!

3 Seconds is a Long Time

Here are two pics I took just yesterday. I take my webcam pics through myspace and they give you 3 seconds before they snap the pic. Unfortunately, Kyle is so wiggly during those 3 seconds, it is very difficult to capture him! He could be smiling when I first snap the picture but then we have to wait 3 seconds for it to actually capture the moment! These are the only two that came out pretty good. Either way, it's fun to play with the webcam because Kyle is amazed at seeing himself on the computer screen or being able to see behind him.

Vitamins, Picture Frame, Movie, and More!

A few days ago we re-applied for Food Stamps. They called us yesterday wanting additional information and she said we probably won't qualify for the month of February but we could be "pre-approved" for March. We are really hoping we get back on food stamps!

We went to Walmart today since we were almost completely out of food! We bought our usual groceries. I also bought lotion, vitamins for myself, and a picture frame. I bought the picture frame for Kyle's class picture. It's his first class picture and I thought it deserved a frame! Shannon also bought a movie that he's been wanting to see. I ended up using a little over $6 in coupons too! So proud, since I am not that good at couponing.

I had a choice between buying the name brand of vitamins but decided on the store brand. This bottle of vitamins cost me about half the cost of the name brand! I wanted to start taking vitamins again since I am working out and trying to stay healthy.

First Day on the Bus!

Today was Kyle's first day riding the school bus to school! I was nervous that he would get scared and/or freak out! He woke up pretty quickly as usual, especially since I told him it's a school day! He just loves going to school. I got him dressed and ready to go. I walked him to the bus stop, which is just down the street. He was just fine with the walk because he knew he had his school clothes, jacket, and backpack on. I asked kept singing, "we're going to school, we're going to school..." I also kept reminding him that "we're going to see Ms. Pam (his teacher)." When the bus pulled up, he got scared and tried to walk away. To him, the bus must be HUGE and it's a loud vehicle! I think the noise scared him, if anything. I lifted him up on the first step (since it's about 2 feet off the ground) and helped him up to the second step and into the helper's reach.

This afternoon, Kyle's teacher called to let us know what time to pick him up from the bus stop. She said the bus driver said that he did really well on the bus. He didn't cry either! He was just fine! I am so glad he adjusted so well to riding the bus, as it is a brand new experience for him!

When it was time to meet him at the bus stop, my MIL walked down the street with me. She brought her digital camera and took a few pics of Kyle getting off the bus. Apparently, Kyle fell asleep on the way home on the bus! These were taken just after he woke up to get off the bus!

Kyle came home with Valentine's Day goodies! He made a few Valentine's at school! They are really cute! Both are in a heart-shaped! One of them is decorated with buttons and glitter. The other has his handprint in the middle, decorated with glitter! Both are adorable! He also has Valentine's candy, which I will be raiding (he's too young to have that much candy). I feel bad I didn't get Valentine's cards for Kyle's classmates. I forgot what it's like being in elementary school, I remember exchanging Valentine's cards with my entire class!

Fun pics

Here are some fun pics I took with my son.

I can't believe I caught him smiling here!

He realized he saw himself on the screen and he was reaching out towards the camera!

That's Daddy's knee on the left. Kyle was distracted when we took this one.

Homemade Baby Announcement

Some friends of ours recently had a baby. Their baby was actually born on the day that Kyle was due, according to his ultrasound. Here is a picture of the homemade baby announcement they sent us!

Anyway, I thought the homemade card was so cute! I am now interested in making cards or at least trying it! I am looking at starter kits for card making.

Sharing Some Pictures

I wanted to share some pictures since I figured out how to take pictures with my webcam on my laptop. I only know how to take pics with my webcam on myspace. Enjoy!

Last Friday, I posted a blog about buying a new plant. Well, here's a picture of my plant:

Yesterday, I blogged about buying two new plastic pots. I took a picture of my new pots. For now, I have my plants sitting in them, they aren't planted in the pots yet. The bigger pot will house two plants, one is a cutting sitting in water.

Weather Permitted

Shannon was able to finish mowing the backyard yesterday evening. He happened to finish just before it started raining again! It's been raining for the last week (off an on) to where nobody could mow their lawns.

I checked our vegetable garden today and all of the plants are thriving from the rain, they are growing like crazy!

I took new pictures today. I dressed Kyle in his new blue outfit that I bought him and had to take some pics of him in it.

Shannon is still doing good in his college. He said it's definitely a full time course, there are assignments due almost every other day or so. His latest assignment is to work as a team and he can't seem to get in contact with anyone on his team to do the assignment. So he's going to just finish his portion. The college counselor is still calling him almost daily! They seem to be "checking in" with him to make sure he's doing okay.

I am still working out with Turbo Jam. It's still a challenge and thankfully I am not bored with the workouts. They are very fun and keep me motivated. Since there are 5 different workout videos, I can change up my workout and not do the same routine over and over.

New Pictures!

I had the opportunity to take some new pictures of my son and myself today! I am so excited that I have new and updated pictures of us! My MIL said that we could use their digital camera whenever we wanted.

It's been over a year since we've been able to take any pictures. Our digital camera is still broken and our other one is just ancient.

I posted our new pics on my facebook page and myspace.
